Did you know that the world’s longest freight train was operated by BHP and spanned a length of 7.352 km or 4.568 miles? This massive train was used to transport iron ore between the Yandi mine and Port Hedland in Western Australia and had an incredible weight of 99,732 tons (219,867,724 lbs). 

🚂 It was powered by 8 diesel locomotives from General Electric and took 10 hours and 4 minutes to complete its 170-mile journey. This train remains at the top of the list as the longest and heaviest freight train in history!
